SA Hip Hop star, Khuli Chana finally reveals why he joined the Amapiano train, and what inspired his forthcoming album “Khuliyano”.
As we all know, a lot of artists in the SA Hip Hop scene have always complained of the “powers that be”. There have been reports of serious politics in the genre which always makes it hard for artistes to deliver, or even enjoy their art.
Because of this, a lot of artistes have tried new things. The latest being Khuli Chana who recently dropped his first Amapiano jam. He titles it “Buyile” with featured contributions from Tyler ICU, Lady Du and Stino Le Thwenny.
He has also revealed his coming project “Khuliyano” to be inspired by the raving sound. He recently defended his decision to join Amapiano saying that he is tired of the politics. Being around his wife and the Yanos section makes him want to be about the vibes, and not the politics.
“I love Hip Hop, I love SA Hip Hop, but I am tired of the politics,”
“I love travelling with wifey and hanging around her being in the yanos section and watching how everybody is just there for vibes, just vibes, no politics or questions, just vibes…And I was like I’ll get back to the vibes,”
