A shoot-out among police and burglars at Johannesburg’s Cresta mall has prompted the capture of two suspects.
At about 2pm on Tuesday, four presumes driving a white Toyota Etios commandeered a driver driving an Opel Corsa in Cresta Mall’s stopping zone, said Capt Kay Makhubele.
On out, they ransacked two or three their cellphones and different things.
“Not long before the suspects left the shopping center, the suspects were met by the police and security monitors, where a shoot-out resulted.”
One speculate was shot and injured. He was taken to emergency clinic where he is under police monitor, while another suspect was captured at the scene.
Two different suspects fled by walking.
“During the capture, one gun was recouped and a portion of the ransacked things were additionally recuperated alongside the commandeered Opel Corsa,” said Makhubele.
Police set up that the expected escape vehicle was an e-flagging down taxi.
The captured suspects will show up in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
